Repharm Group leadership attended the Nordic Business Forum 2026
Representatives of the Repharm Group, including members of Recipe Plus’s leadership team, recently joined more than 8,500 business leaders from over 50 countries at Nordic Business Forum 2026 in Helsinki. Held on 16–17 September, the event focused on “The Human Edge” – exploring the distinctly human capabilities that remain essential as artificial intelligence and automation continue to transform the way we work.
For Recipe Plus, the topic has particular relevance. The company is currently developing a new pharmaceutical logistics centre where robotics and automation will play a central role in increasing efficiency and supply capacity. At the same time, the company’s ability to ensure a reliable supply of medicines continues to depend on the knowledge, judgement, experience and collaboration of its people.
Technology and people are not competing forces – they are becoming increasingly interconnected. Understanding how to bring the two together effectively was one of the key themes emerging from the forum.
Among the Repharm Group representatives attending the event was HR Director Baiba Pedraudze, who returned from Helsinki with several reflections on how organisations can build strong teams and navigate an increasingly automated working environment.
Trust creates momentum
One of the strongest takeaways was the importance of trust. When people trust one another, decisions can be made faster, change can be embraced more easily, and uncertainty becomes something teams work through together rather than wait for someone else to resolve.
For an organisation responsible for keeping the supply of medicines stable and reliable, this is more than an abstract leadership principle. Trust directly influences how effectively people work together and respond when circumstances change.
The environment matters
Another important reflection was that effort and persistence alone do not determine how far people and organisations can go. The environment in which people work has a significant influence on their ability to perform, develop and contribute.
Creating that environment therefore requires deliberate attention – from leadership and organisational culture to everyday ways of working and collaboration.
Failure can be part of progress
The forum also offered a different perspective on failure: rather than being the opposite of progress, it can provide valuable feedback about what needs to change.
Learning from setbacks, adapting and continuing forward can help organisations become more resilient and better prepared for uncertainty.
Keeping the human edge
These ideas connect closely with the transformation taking place at Recipe Plus. As automation and robotics increasingly take over repetitive and operational tasks, the distinctly human qualities of work become even more important – judgement, creativity, trust, meaningful collaboration and the ability to build genuine relationships.
The Nordic Business Forum programme explored many of these questions through discussions on decision-making, performance and collaboration, including how human judgement can complement AI, how organisations can intentionally shape environments that enable people to perform at their best, and how trust strengthens teams.
For Recipe Plus, the message is clear: the future of work will not be about choosing between technology and people. It will be about creating the right conditions for both to work together.
As the company continues to invest in automation and the next generation of pharmaceutical logistics, its people remain at the heart of what makes that transformation possible.
